What if I have more than 4 dogs?
No problem! but we’re happy to accommodate larger packs. Each additional dog is just $3 per week. If you’ve got 5 or more pups , we’ll make sure your yard still gets the same reliable service. Just let us know how many you have when signing up.
What if my yard is larger than 1/4 acre?
Our standard pricing covers up to 1/4 acre (about the size of most neighborhood backyards). Larger properties just take more time, so they’ll need a custom quote. If we arrive and the yard is significantly larger or has extras not mentioned during sign up, we may need to adjust pricing or reschedule service until a new rate is approved.
What if my dogs are in the yard during service?
We love dogs, its part of why we do what we do! For everyone’s safety, we ask that dogs be kept indoors or securely seperated during the service unless we’ve met them first and confirmed they’re friendly with visitors.
If your dogs are comfortable with people and you’d like them to stay outside, just let us know! We’re happy to do a quick meet and greet on your first visit so they can get used to us. If a dog ever seems uncomfortable or protective, we’ll skip that area and reach out before your next scheduled cleanup.
Please note: While we take great care around pets, Scoopin Poop LLC cannot be held responsible for dogs that escape, cause injury, or act unpredictably during service. We always take a photo of your gate securely closed after each visit to ensure everything is safe before we leave.
What areas do you service?
We currently serve Roanoke, Salem, and Vinton Virginia, with more areas coming soon! If you’re just outside of our normal route, let us know, We’ll gladly look into expanding service if there’s enough interest in your area.
Do you haul the dog waste away?
No, most of our customers prefer we place the bagged waste directly in their outdoor trash bin. This keeps things simple and avoids extra cost.
If you don’t have a bin available or would rather, we take it with us, we can haul away for a small additional fee to cover disposal costs. Either way, your yard will be completely clean and ready to enjoy!
What if the gates locked or the yard can’t be accessed?
No problem! You’ll be assigned a service day based on your location and notified within an hour of our arrival. If we can’t reach you, and can’t access the yard, the visit will be skipped, but we’ll double up next time if needed. We just ask that gates be unlocked on your service day, or you provide a code.
What about snow?
If conditions are safe to work, we’ll remove whatever waste in on top of the snow. Once the snow melts, we’ll make sure to clean up anything that has been hidden underneath. We’ll always do what we can to stay on mission without risking the safety of our team. You’ll always receive a text update if winter weather affects your service day. However, we all know we don’t get much real snow here in Roanoke!
Is there a contract or commitment?
Nope! We’re all about simplicity — no contracts, no long-term obligations. Cancel anytime.

Why did you start Scoopin Poop LLC?
After serving in the Army and seeing firsthand the struggles many veterans face after coming home, I knew I wanted to build something that would make a real difference. I also wanted to do things differently than most for-profit businesses – instead of focusing on how much money I could keep, I wanted to focus on how much I could give.
Scoopin Poop LLC was built to be a for-profit business that exists to support non-profits – because money to fund change has to come from somewhere. By offering a simple, reliable service, I can provide steady support to veteran charities while also helping families and pet parents keep their yards clean and safe. Every customer becomes part of that mission – every scoop supports a cause! Together, we’re cleaning yards and changing live.
Do your profits really support veterans?
Absolutely. A portion of all profits from Scoopin Poop LLC goes directly to veteran charities, service organizations, and our official partner: Mutts on a Mission — a nonprofit that provides trained service dogs to veterans and first responders. This isn’t just a promise – it’s built into how we operate.
As the business grows, so does our impact. For example, with around 100 active customers, we could potentially donate around $12,000 a year to veteran-focused programs — funding everything from service dog training to emergency assistance.
With 200 or 300 customers, that impact could easily grow to $25,000–$35,000+ a year, creating steady, meaningful support for veterans in need. My goal is to expand far beyond that — because the more yards we clean, the more veterans we can help.
Every cleanup contributes to that mission — every scoop supports a cause.
Together, we can make this happen!
